The Humberside Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC), , is an elected official who provides the governance for, and oversight of, Humberside Police in England. Through his Office of the police and crime commissioner for Humberside (OPCC) team, he also provides a range of additional policing and crime related services to the local population. He is one of 39 elected PCCs across England and Wales, who together provide the governance and oversight for the majority of police forces within this geographic area.
Whilst in Humberside recently, PolicingTV Founder Bernard Rix met and heard from Jonathan about this work. He also met the OPCC Chief Executive, Rachel Cook, who in this video takes us on a tour of her office. She also introduces us to a number of her staff, who explain the work they do and the impact it is designed to have on the local community.
