According to His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary, Humberside Police are the both the most improved force and the best performing police force in England and Wales.

At the Force’s invitation, Policing Insight and PolicingTV’s Founder and Publisher, Bernard Rix, recently spent a week in Humberside, visiting a number of high performing teams and departments to hear how they’ve achieved such a remarkable and sustained improvement in performance.

In this second of two videos focusing on the Force’s Vulnerability Hub team based near Hull, Detective Superintendent Phil Booker of the Vulnerability Hub is joined by Duty Inspector Jo Matthews, to discuss the Hub’s detailed approach to their work, including the Hub’s engagement with victims, with partner agencies, and with others working within Humberside Police. Phil then separately identifies the key elements that have allowed Humberside to deliver such significant improvements in the Hub’s work, hence “serving our communities to make them safer and stronger”.
