As part of his Policing Friendship Tour, PolicingTV and Policing Insight Founder Bernard Rix recently travelled to Oxford in England, to meet Dr Rick Muir, the Director of the Police Foundation, the UK’s independent policing think tank.

 

Starting in the Covered Market, Bernard and Rick talk as they walk past several of the city’s world-famous buildings, and one or two others undeservedly less well recognised! A key part of their conversation is about the Police Foundation’s often ground-breaking and thought-provoking work, most recently their world-class “Strategic Review of Policing in England and Wales”, the result of three years of work by a significant and expert team.

 

The Strategic Review’s final report sets out a long-term strategic vision for a modern police service capable of meeting the challenges of the 21st century, and provides insights of relevance to policing across the globe, not just within England and Wales.
