As part of his Policing Friendship Tour, Policing Insight and PolicingTV Publisher Bernard Rix recently travelled to the Isles of Scilly, where he met Sergeant Al Jordan and PCSO Shirley Graham. Shirley and Al make up half of the total policing complement on the Isles.

In discussion with Bernard, as they walk from their St Mary’s police station into St Mary’s main town, Hugh Town, they describe a little of the work of the very small policing team (Sergeant, two PCs and one PCSO) on the Isles.

This video, in addition to capturing a little of the beauty of the Isles of Scilly, provides strong evidence  – along with plenty of on-camera examples – of how the Isles of Scilly policing team are an integral and treasured part of the local Scilly community.
