The inaugural Women of Colour in Policing (WoCiP) conference recently took place at the College of Policing’s Ryton facility near Coventry, England. WoCiP now has formal recognition within UK Policing, having originated from an initiative to support women from ethnic minority backgrounds as they progress in their policing careers.
In this short video recorded at the inaugural conference, PolicingTV and Policing Insight Founder, Bernard Rix, meets several of those attending and contributing to the day, including Lincolnshire Police’s Assistant Chief Constable Kerrin Wilson QPM, and the Metropolitan Police’s Inspector Jas Kaur, Chair of the National Women of Colour in Policing UK tactical group.
