A representative from the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) in Miami was delighted to attend the 2026 BOT Women in Policing Award ceremony recognising the contribution of women in police forces across the UK’s Overseas Territories. These awards acknowledge the professionalism, leadership and impact of women officers whose work improves the quality of policing, builds public trust, and contributes to safeguarding communities.

The event was a moment to recognise the huge progress made. The FCDO is thankful to the leadership across the OTs from Commissioners, including the committee chair Commissioner Darrin Simons, and in our coordination with partners such as the International Police Association, Investigo Government Solutions, and PolicingTV. The FCDO remains committed to building inclusive and effective policing institutions, including through work to tackle violence against women and girls. Our congratulations once again to all those recognised today.
