In this highlights package, the various topics discussed, innovative approaches to enhance policing services, including the use of technology and educational tools to combat job scams. The highlights package also covers the new Procurement Act aimed at improving procurement processes in the justice and emergency services sector, emphasizing transparency and the inclusion of small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

We kicked off with Rachel Tuffin, interim director of the Centre for Police Productivity at the College of Policing who was answering the question “what can the college do to strengthen delivery of policing services for any given community?”

We next heard from Prof Dr Cheah Phaik Kin from the Faculty of Arts and Social Science, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman in Malaysia on a ground breaking new tool they were rolling out across SE Asia and beyond to prevent Job Scams, a big are of concern.

Lastly we heard from theTech UK’s Justice and Emergency Services (JES) Procurement Sub-group. Adrian Leer, from the JES and MD of Triad and his fellow committee member Allan Fairley discussed the new Procurement Act which has reviewed and refreshed all areas of the procurement lifecycle.
