Constables Emma Coward and Maverick Hamilton are based at Perth’s Kensington Police Station within Western Australia Police Force (WAPOL).
In an interview recorded within their Kensington policing sub-district, they tell PolicingTV’s Founder and Publisher, Bernard Rix, about their and colleagues’ work covering 24 hour coverage of a wide range of responsibilities including response to and investigation of reports of domestic violence, theft, drug crime and more.
With five officers on the Kensington inquiry team, there are currently some fifty cases that those officers have under investigation. Emma has fifteen or so of those under her remit. Emma and Maverick explain more about that investigative role, as well as discussing how WAPOL’s use of technology assists them in their work.
Maverick also explains why he has non-standard footwear on his right foot!
