Professor Jorge Roman, Dubai Police Advisor, interviews Sergio Muñoz Yáñez, Director General of Policía de Investigaciones de Chile (PDI) for Policing TV at the World Police Summit.

The first World Police Summit has been taking place in Dubai. Some 10,000 people have visited the event, which has included an exhibition area featuring the latest technology, and a series of speeches and discussions about the key issues and challenges facing policing.

As PolicingTV’s first interview conducted in Spanish, Professor Jorge Roman interviewed Sergio Munoz, the Director General of PDI Chile, the Chile Policia de Investigaciones, which has some 12,800 officers. Sergio Munoz talks about the country’s tackling of organised crime and illegal drugs trade, and explores some of the innovative approaches they have developed. He also discusses the challenge of cybercrime, the strides that PDI has made in gender equality, and the benefit of sharing and hearing policing insights from across the globe.
