A week with an international flavour ! Our first video saw us highlight that it is only 6 months to go to ANZPAA a fabulous annual event held in Melbourne this year and Organised by the Australia New Zealand Policing Advisory Agency (ANZPAA), supported by Policing Insight and PolicingTV as global media partners.
Following on from this International event, we hear from Rachael Harrison from Staffordshire Police who interviews Andy Swift from the Met on the international origins of the COPS annual charity bike ride and lastly hear from Prof Dr Phaik Kin Cheah, a Lance Corporal in the Royal Malaysia Police Volunteer Reserve on ASEANAPOL’s vision for regional policing and volunteer engagement.

Our second video of the week covered Sergeant Andy ‘Swifty’ Swift from the Metropolitan Police, one of the founders of the UK version of the tour. The annual Police Unity Tour cycle ride takes place from August 1-3 this year! In this clip he reflects on the Unity ride’s US origins, discusses the challenges involved, the very real impact the tour has had on individuals, or survivors, not only from the UK but from across the globe.

Lastly in an exclusive interview Prof Dr Phaik Kin Chea, a Lance Corporal in the Royal Malaysia Police Volunteer Reserve and academic at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), spoke with Police Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Huu Ngoc, Director for Plans and Programmes at the ASEAN Chiefs of National Police (ASEANAPOL) Secretariat.
