As part of his Policing Friendship Tour, Policing Insight and PolicingTV Publisher Bernard Rix was invited to attend and film at Day One of the International Police Association’s (IPA’s) 65th World Congress in Lloret de Mar, Spain.
This was the first in-person IPA World Congress for three years – the last two were run online because of the global pandemic. The Congress ran for a week, with a combination of business and professional meetings, discussions and briefings running in harmony with educational visits to some of the region’s policing infrastructure, as well as socially to a number of tourist locations.
Bernard’s film covers some of the introductory World Congress proceedings, before hearing multi-lingual insights from a number of the delegates, themselves representing some of the 372,000 IPA members across 68 countries on six continents.
