As part of his Policing Friendship Tour, Policing Insight and PolicingTV Publisher Bernard Rix has travelled to New Zealand at the kind invitation of New Zealand Police. Bernard’s first stop has been in Christchurch, on South Island. The city, which experienced several major policing incidents that attracted global interest during the 2010s, is the headquarters for the force’s Canterbury District. 

In this first video from Christchurch, Bernard visits the multi agency building which includes the city’s police station, meeting key officers and members of staff, learning about the ways of working within the building, and getting to see some of the vehicles and equipment in use by New Zealand Police.
