The Staffordshire Survive Sexual Assault and Sexual Abuse Service provides a non-judgmental, confidential service for adults, both male and female, children over the age of four, and close family members and significant others who have been affected by sexual assault or abuse at any point during their lives.
The service is run by Staffordshire Women’s Aid and supports victims whether they report the crime to the police or not.
The free service had supported over 1,600 people in its first 18 months. The Staffordshire Commissioner’s Office promoted the service via a multi-media campaign, including videos, social media and outdoor advertising. As a result, over 14,000 people visited the website in its first year for more information. For further information visit the Staffordshire Women’s Aid website.
