At the World Police Summit in Dubai earlier this year, Professor Mamdooh Abdelmottlep of the International Police Sciences Association (IPSA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dubai Police, covering the work of WISPI, the World International Police and Security Index.
The Index measures the ability of the police and other security providers to address internal security issues in 127 countries, across four domains, using 16 indicators. The WISPI looks at four domains of internal security: capacity, process, legitimacy, and outcomes.
In an interview recorded with PolicingTV Founder Bernard Rix at Summit, Professor Mamdooh explains more about IPSA and WISPI, and the implications of the MoU with Dubai Police. He also offers a short greeting and thanks, in Arabic, to his Dubai hosts and MoU partners.
