This high-level strategic discussion is for Chief Officers, their senior policing colleagues and potential future leaders as well as partners from industry, the third sector and academe. The day will be keynoted by Sir Mark Rowley, Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, who will be joined by an exceptional group of contributors to look at defining the police mission of today and for the future. In a time of economic stress and social tension, and in a situation of ever-increasing demand, it is vital to have a clear idea of what the police service should be doing and how. The day will emphasise demand, culture, workforce diversity and skills, assess future crime threats and effective responses.
