16-18 June 2026

Hosted at Swansea University and attended by 250+ delegates from countries around the world, the TASM Conference is one of the leading international conferences on extremist and terrorist use of online platforms. Attended by a wide range of stakeholders, including tech companies, governments, law enforcement, regulators, civil society and researchers from many different academic disciplines, the conference features keynote presentations from leading experts and a selection of 30+ breakout sessions featuring 100+ speakers.

The main conference takes place over two days. The focus of day one is extremist and terrorist use of online platforms. Topics to be considered include: uses of new technologies and Web3; current trends in uses of gaming platforms and visual media; and, digital culture, the fragmentation of ideology and the evolution of extremism.

Day two will focus on questions of response, including: evaluations of regulatory regimes; uses of AI for P/CVE and to identify extremist and terrorist content; and, campaigns to promote resilience and digital literacy and benign influence campaigns.

18 June: workshops & sandpit

In 2026, TASM will take place over three days. On day three delegates will have the choice to attend either stakeholder-led workshops or participate in the TASM sandpit.

The TASM sandpit offers participants the chance to form teams and work together to produce collaborative proposals for short-term projects that seek to address the challenges identified during the conference. The winning team will receive funding to take their project forward.
