The current structure of the police workforce is not fit for purpose. Systemic change is urgently required in order to maintain the current workforce, and to future-proof the organisation. Satisfaction in UK public services has seen a sharp drop since 2021. How can the police service re-emerge as a service with the confidence that is currently lacking?
