James Sweetland is a freelance consultant, researcher, and writer who specialises in policing, criminal justice, and tech policy. He is a regular contributor to Policing Insight, supporting both our editorial and corporate work. James has previously worked for the think tanks Reform and Demos, the Association of Police and Crime Commissioners, and the National Police Chiefs’ Council. He holds an MSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Oxford University and is a former winner of the Orwell Youth Prize. James tweets @jl_sweetland.
