Mr. Reyes retired as the Director of the Department of Public Safety Communications in Prince William County, VA after serving in that capacity for more than four years. Mr. Reyes has 28 years of law enforcement experience, retiring as the senior deputy chief from the Alexandria, VA Police Department and serving as Deputy Chief of the Amtrak Police Department where he oversaw the Mid Atlantic Division. Since the early 2000’s, Mr. Reyes has been intimately involved with large scale public events and with technology specifically related to law enforcement operations and public safety communications centers, such land mobile radio systems, call processing equipment for 9-1-1 (CPE), enhancing location accuracy for 9-1-1 callers, computer aided dispatch (CAD) systems, mobile data terminals, automatic vehicle locator systems, body worn camera programs, firearm discharge detection technology and small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS). Mr. Reyes also served with the National Policing Institute as a Senior Law Enforcement Project Manager and now serves as an Executive Fellow.
